But I can use this as the basis of a bulk converter for the 115+ PDF-PPTX files that I want back in PPTX format for editing ( I don't have the PPTX source files.) It leaves Adobe Acrobat processes running in the background that I have to kill with Windows Task Manager. The only issue is that I can't figure out how to close the file and the application after the conversion process is done. And it doesn't cost anything more than the Acrobat Pro license that I already have. (I have Acrobat X.) The Python script calls the Adobe Acrobat Exchange application (part of Acrobat Pro).
This solution requires me to have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed locally.
PPTX files.Īll it took was a simple modification of the file extensions and names. I used it as an example and modified it to convert PDF-PPTX files back to native PowerPoint. The answer above works great to convert PDF to Excel.
